Rebecca Bell
Protagonist
Gender: Female
Year: A-rank
Position: Archery team, vice captain

Rebecca is driven by a need to understand the thought processes of others. She's a good listener, but her personality and demeanor often switch depending on who she's conversing with. She's the type to keep a constant internal monologue and carefully maintain an outer and inner self. Rebecca keeps a variety of friends, some of them good students and others more shady, all with their own perception of her and her own relationship with them, so she's well-known but possesses no circle of friends. She's most open with Maximilian, whom she's known since D-year, but still very cautious with acquaintances. If asked to describe her, all who know her would give a different answer.

Eric Larsen
Protagonist
Gender: Male
Year: Senior
Position: Archery team, captain

Moderately intelligent and gifted with concentration and willpower, Eric was a top contender for the spot of valedictorian until his junior year. For unclear reasons, he failed a physics exam that completely dropped him out of the race. As he never fully chose an objective for himself, and lacking any other clear goal, his determined mindset decidedly faltered. He abandoned his bid for captainship of the debate team and recently began to branch into easier, non-competitive classes. Without the workload of a top student, he found the time to revive the archery club. As not many know of his recent fall from grace, most seniors are still cold with him, viewing him as a threat. He's begun to reconsider his choices at the St. Magnus School.

Maximilian Wolf
Student
Gender: Male
Year: A-rank
Position: Archery team, member

Max is a black humorist at heart. He takes most serious events in stride, but his nature always keeps him thinking two steps ahead. He isn't one to sulk, but he never ignores reailty. Most see him as unfriendly, though it's more likely that his sarcasm just drives people away. He's close friends with Rebecca but not too many competitive students.

Caitlyn Baquiran
Student
Gender: Female
Year: B-year
Position: Archery team, recruit

Cait is unapologetic and intentionally abrasive. She prefers the company of meeker and younger students and dislikes anyone more intelligent than herself. Despite a lack of foresight, she possesses some cunning when the situation presents itself. Although she can appear self-serving, Caitlyn does seem to have some sort of inscrutable internal ethics code. She also carries a butterfly knife for when things don't go her way.

Pete Sai
Student
Gender: Male
Year: D-year
Position: Archery team, recruit

Most describe Pete Sai as highly irritating. He possesses too much energy and very little focus. He loves to provoke anyone that would be annoyed by him, especially Shibin and Caitlyn. Pete has to be everywhere and is constantly aware of his surroundings, though at times he can be a little imperceptive of facts others may consider obvious. He may be valuable for lockpicking, among other talents.

Lyra Cygnus
Student
Gender: Female
Year: D-year
Position: Archery team, recruit

Lyra is shifty and at times shy. As one of the youngest in the school, no one really thinks much of her. Often, those around her believe her to be caught up in her dreams, but this is mostly an illusion. She concerns herself only with what interests her rather than fellow students. Her infrequent appearances cause some students to wonder if she's a ghost. She spends her time wandering the halls.

Kenneth Whitecastle
Student
Gender: Male
Year: Junior
Position: Track team, captain

Kenneth possesses great charisma and communication skills. Even in scenarios where he doesn't know what he's doing, he often has the capacity to bluff his way out. However, of the students at the school, he's one of the least practical. Though he gives the impression of extreme assuredness, his real decision-making process is much more involved. As such, he's seen as different things by different people; those that are more perceptive think of him as less intelligent. Ken is well-liked by most of the student body and looked up to by the members of the track team.

Shibin Dai
Student
Gender: Male
Year: C-year
Position: Track team, member

Shibin's intelligence lies in his rationality. Though he sometimes lacks perspective and rarely does anything of his own initiative, he prides himself on independence. He refuses to be controlled by anyone, least of all Caitlyn. Kenneth depends on him for management of the track team, a dynamic that may translate to other situations. He's never afraid to pass judgment and follows his principles.

Sid Wallace
Student
Gender: Male
Year: B-year
Position: Jazz ensemble, member; Archery team, recruit

Sid is a bit of a mystery among the B-years. His study habits give the appearance that he is trying for valedictorian, but some of his classes and clubs don't add up. He met Eric in a chemistry class his second semester of C-year and the two have stayed together since. Both seem to have a basic understanding of each other as they possess similar personalities, but they're not particularly close.

Henry Musikot
Student
Gender: Male
Year: Junior
Position: Jazz ensemble, member

Henry is moderately bright and very hard-working student. His determination is enviable even if his tactics are rough. His speech and actions are always forthright and to the point, and he never steps down from a challenge. This often leads him to irritable outbursts, but most of the time he is productive and seen as a model student, if lacking a bit lacking in manners. Henry is surprisingly innovative on occasion, though he sees hard work as a more productive avenue to prove himself.

Felix Salazar
Student
Gender: Male
Year: Senior
Position: Debate team, captain

Felix is highly intelligent in the sense that he is a "larger picture" person. His determination places him in contention for valedictorian along with Eric and Marisa. Although he usually makes sacrifices for the greater good, he sometimes forces his opinions on others if he deems it important to the group. In this respect, he's rather tyrannical and not well-liked among his subordinates on the debate team. Despite his lack of personal warmth, he means the best. His friends are almost all on the debate team, of which he recently became captain. He claims to play life like a game of chess, his passion.

Marilyn Sumner
Student
Gender: Female
Year: Junior
Position: Debate team, vice captain

Marilyn is a model member of the debate team and a self-styled philosopher. Unlike Felix, she's capable of dealing politely with others instead of manipulating them. For this reason, the two make an excellent team, although her position is unofficial and Felix often ignores her.

Marisa Montoire
Student
Gender: Female
Year: Senior
Position: Archery team, ex-member

Marisa is a top student in contention for valedictorian. Her nature seems to change violently, and she can seem at times to be either coldly in command or completely lost. However, at all times, she is reserved and rarely talks to anyone. Her reasons for joining (and leaving) the archery team are unknown, though she always seems to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Sophie Morrigan
Student
Gender: Female
Year: Junior
Position: Swim team, member

Sophie prides herself on her realistic outlook. She 'adopted' Rebecca when she was a D-rank. Her nature is very quiet, and she doesn't talk much. As such, she's virtually unknown outside of the swim team. Her pursuit of realism sometimes leads her to a pessimistic. Though Sophie and Max are both good friends of Rebecca, Sophie's perceived negativity always irritates Max.

Arya Martin
Student
Gender: Female
Year: Senior
Position: Robotics team, captain

Arya chose to throw herself into robotics rather than pursuing the title of valedictorian. Her outgoing and somewhat oblivious nature have made her an equal number of friends and enemies. She's talented in tampering with electronics and machinery large and small.
